Tara R. Alemany is an award-winning author, speaker, book marketing consultant and publisher.
She has authored two books, and co-authored or contributed to three others. Her latest book, The Best is Yet to Come, was released in November 2013 and won an Honorable Mention in the 2014 Readers’ Favorite awards. It shares the lessons learned while overcoming the unexpected death of her fiancé in October 2011.
She also has recently released a revised edition of her first book, The Plan that Launched a Thousand Books, a DIY guide to marketing and promoting your own books.
Earlier, Tara had co-authored The Character-Based Leader: Instigating a Leadership Revolution… One Person at a Time, and contributed to My Love to You Always and Celebrating 365 Days of Gratitude (2013 ed.)
Tara speaks frequently on social media, book marketing, publishing and inspirational topics and can be found at writers conferences, women’s conferences and Christian conferences throughout the country.
She is the founder and owner of Emerald Lake Books and Aleweb Social Marketing. Between the two, she helps authors and speakers who see their book as part of their business model transform their words from manuscript to masterpiece, and then get found online, on-stage and on-the-shelf.
The services offered range from book preparation (editing, formatting and publishing) through launch strategies and support, including website and social profile development, and the training and strategies required to reach your target market with your unique message.
She is launching The Best is Yet to Come Mastermind Series in 2015, which is designed to help serious business people achieve serious business results.
Tara’s thoughts and insights have also been included in articles on Carol Roth’s Business Unplugged, Marketing Sherpa, Business2Community, AllTop and Bank of America’s Small Business brief, and her content has been reprinted in SOLDLab magazine.
In addition to consulting, writing and speaking, Tara serves on the Boards of Directors for a Christian writers’ critique group and is Chaplain of that same group. In her spare time, she is a novice wine maker, a martial artist, a juggler, Mom to 2 teenagers (one of each), step-Mom to 2 dogs (one of each) and is owned by a black cat.
Do you recognize the guy in this picture? Jeff Hayzlett, Global Business Celebrity, NYT best-selling author and Bloomberg TV prime-time host, shared it on his Facebook page after he and Tara met at SANG. He wrote “Hanging with Tara Alemany of Aleweb Social Marketing — one talented pro.”
Jeff had this to say about The Best is Yet to Come. “Tara’s integrity and authenticity is so real that while I was listening to her talk recently, you could literally hear everyone in the room breathing — they were so enthralled with what she had to say.”
Tara’s guiding principle in speaking, writing and consulting comes from Ephesians 4:29.
Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.
In addition to her work, Tara was a founding Board member on the Board of Directors of a non-profit ministry called “Forest Haven,” which offers a rural, quiet place of healing hospitality and spiritual refreshment for Christian ministers and missionaries, and their spouses, providing time away from their responsibilities to draw closer to God.
Also a founding member of her local Word Weavers chapter, Tara still serves on its Board of Directors and as its Chaplain too. The Devotional blog posts that appear on this site are actually the monthly words of encouragement she offers to her fellow writers.
